Rheumatology blood tests are used to help diagnose and monitor various autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA). These tests measure markers in the blood that indicate inflammation, the presence of autoantibodies, and overall disease activity. Common tests include rheumatoid factor (RF), anti-CCP antibodies, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), and complete blood counts (CBC).
Health First Surrey highly recommends that blood tests be ordered by patients under the guidance of a doctor.
